Net, for a 30-day month in one region; each further region counts again, and confirmation re-checks come on top. Team and Agency are priced with checks every minute. 10-second checks are on every plan; they use up the included checks faster. When those run short, another 10 million cost €8. The calculator prices any interval.

Every account starts with €9 of starting credit, no card required: about three months of light use, up to a million checks. All core features are there, client areas included, with a few limits until your first payment: 50 monitors, 20 scheduled jobs and no subscriber CSV import for status pages.

Team and Agency include a fixed amount of everything. If you need more of one thing, book packs on top: one click in the app, a prorated charge for the rest of the billing period, one line per add-on on the invoice. At most 20 packs per kind. With a yearly subscription each pack costs its yearly price: ten monthly prices for twelve months, prorated to the end of the contract year.

Less from the next period

A reduction applies when the paid period ends (with a yearly subscription: at the end of the contract year), and you can take it back until then. Nothing already paid for is removed.

Usage packs follow the month

Screenshot and check packs count for the UTC calendar month and are prorated in the month you book them. Domains, subscribers, monitors and jobs are there in full right away.

A limit only blocks adding more

Over a limit nothing is deleted and running monitors keep running. Only new load is turned away.

A declined card stops nothing

The change stays pending until you pay the invoice on Stripe’s page. Your subscription keeps running and no grace mode starts.

Packs end with the subscription

Cancel Team or Agency and the packs end with it. When you switch between them, the packs are adjusted to what the new plan does not already include.

Pay as you go does not book packs: custom domains cost €2 per domain and month, counted per day from your credit, and everything else is metered. The starting credit shows add-ons read-only; packs come with Team and Agency. Agency status pages carry no surcharge, with a protection limit of 500. How add-ons work

Failed checks cost the same as healthy ones. A check is one run of one monitor from one region; a redirect or the HEAD-to-GET retry inside that run is not a second check. Paused monitors send nothing and cost nothing.

You see the price before you create anything. Every monitor form in the product shows its own monthly cost as you pick the interval. The number on this page and the number in the product come from the same formula, and tests check that they match.

The calculator recommends the flat plan when it is cheaper. When pay as you go would cost more than a plan with the packs it needs, the calculator says so. Nothing switches by itself; you change plans on your click.

Why there is no free plan

Someone always pays for a free plan, usually the paying customers above it, and a free plan can end: Freshworks ended the Freshping free plan on 6 March 2026.

Instead of a free tier you get €9 of starting credit with the core features. With light use the credit lasts about three months, and the product always shows your current runway. For a few websites you start from €3 a month.

Pricing and billing questions

What counts as a check?
One run of one monitor from one region. A monitor checked every 10 seconds is 8,640 checks a day, and each extra region counts again. Redirects and the automatic HEAD-to-GET retry inside a run are not extra checks; the re-checks that confirm a state change are separate runs and do count. HTTP, Ping, TCP, DNS, keyword and body checks all use the same €9-per-million rate. Paused monitors send nothing and cost nothing. Scheduled jobs are counted the other way round: every check-in we accept costs €3 per million; a rejected ping costs nothing. Alerts, playbooks and users are included at no additional usage charge — a public status page is too; its business features are priced separately, see below.
What do incident screenshots cost?
When a confirmed outage begins on an HTTP monitor with screenshots switched on, we capture the page once, provided the site still answered: a compact JPEG, kept for seven days. You switch screenshots on per monitor; a company default covers new monitors. On pay as you go a successful capture costs €0.005, a failed attempt nothing. Team includes 500 and Agency 2,500 a month, separate from the check budget; after that there are no screenshots until the next month or an upgrade, and nothing extra is charged. In grace mode no screenshots are taken.
How many regions can I check from?
Up to four on every plan. Regions carry no tier limit because each region’s checks are already metered or drawn from the plan budget separately. All four are live: Germany, US, Singapore and Australia. The region picker only lists regions with a live checker; the current list shows their addresses.
What happens when my balance reaches zero?
You will have heard from us first — we warn you in good time, with a link to top up. Once you have paid (top-up or plan), zero means grace mode: every monitor keeps running at a 5-minute cadence, free, for 7 days, with alerts and status pages live. Only then do monitors pause. The starting credit has no grace: once it is used up, monitors pause. An empty balance deletes neither your account nor your configuration (history keeps to your plan’s retention), and nobody sends you a dunning sequence. Top up, and checks resume where they left off.
How is credit used?
Top up from €10. Checks, check-ins and incident screenshots draw from the balance at the published rates. The €3 monthly minimum also draws from it when usage is lower than €3, so unused PAYG credit is not a promise of free indefinite account operation. The wallet shows every deduction and its reason.
Do I need a card to start?
No. Every new account starts with €9 of starting credit and the core features, with 50 monitors and 20 scheduled jobs until your first payment. The €3 monthly minimum is charged in arrears and prorated in the sign-up month, so with light use the credit lasts about three months and covers up to a million checks; heavier use ends it sooner. At 10 monitors on 60-second checks that is about two months. The product shows your current runway.
Can I pay from outside the euro area?
Yes. Prices are in euros, and any card works. At checkout, Stripe shows the amount in your local currency; billing itself stays in EUR.
Can I switch between pay as you go and a flat plan?
Yes, and only ever on your click; nothing switches itself. Start on pay as you go and move to Team when the calculator shows it would be cheaper. Moving up applies at once; moving down applies at the end of the paid period, and on a yearly plan at the end of the contract year.
What happens when a flat plan’s check budget runs out?
Team includes 20 million checks a month and 100 monitors; Agency includes 66 million and 500. One single-region monitor at 10 seconds uses 259,200 checks in a 30-day month, and every extra region counts again. Check-ins from scheduled jobs draw from the same budget at €3 per million. At 80% we email you. Added load is blocked in two cases. At 100% of the month’s budget you cannot create or resume monitors, shorten intervals or add regions until the next UTC calendar month, a check pack or an upgrade. Earlier, a change is refused if it would push the projected 30-day load beyond your budget plus packs, however little of the month is used; a new month does not lift that, but a pack, a plan change, a longer interval or fewer regions does. At 10 seconds in one region, Team’s budget covers about 77 monitors and Agency’s about 257. Monitors already active keep their current cadence. No overage is charged.
Can my status page run on my own domain?
Yes. Point status.yourcompany.com at us, we verify the DNS record and issue the certificate. Custom domains are counted: Team includes one custom domain, Agency ten, more can be added as add-ons, and on pay as you go each domain costs €2 a month, counted per day from your credit. Every page also keeps its up4-hosted URL with HTTPS at no charge. Select an active custom domain for public report links too; sharing it with a status page uses no additional domain allowance.
What do status-page business features cost?
A public status page with the small “Powered by up4” footer is free on every plan, pay as you go included. Three features change that: removing the footer, password-protecting the page, and e-mail-code visitor access. Switch any of them on for a published page and pay as you go bills €10 per page, per month — billed by the hour while it is published with the feature on, so a page you unpublish or a feature you switch off again stops accruing immediately. Team and Agency include all three on every page, no extra charge. Custom domains are separate: €2 per month on pay as you go, one included in Team and ten in Agency.
How many status-page subscribers are included, and is status mail limited?
Confirmed e-mail subscribers share one pool across all your status pages, one place per address and page: 100 on the starting credit, 250 on pay as you go, 1,000 on Team and 1,500 on Agency. On pay as you go each subscriber above 250 costs €0.005 a month, charged per day from the balance. Webhook and RSS subscribers, unconfirmed and unsubscribed addresses take no place. When a pool is full, new sign-ups are turned away; everyone already subscribed keeps being notified. Mail is never counted per recipient, and there is no monthly cap per subscriber. Fair use bundles instead: the first message of an incident and its resolution go out at once; updates in between are combined into one mail per subscriber every 30 minutes, with the newest status. A page notifies for at most 10 entries an hour, an emergency brake bundles everything beyond 20 mails to one subscriber in 24 hours (resolutions still go out), and a mail that could not be sent within 24 hours expires. The public page is always current.
What is an add-on?
A pack that raises one limit of your Team or Agency plan: custom domains, e-mail subscribers, incident screenshots, monitors, scheduled jobs or checks. Each kind is sold in a fixed pack size at a fixed monthly price, see the table above, and you can book up to 20 packs per kind. With a yearly subscription a pack costs its yearly price: ten monthly prices for twelve months. The add-ons page in the app shows each limit, how full it is and what one more pack costs. Nothing is booked automatically.
When are add-ons charged?
Booking more takes effect immediately, and you pay only the prorated amount for the rest of the current billing period, from your saved payment method after you confirm. With a yearly subscription the prorated amount runs to the end of the contract year. From the next period each pack is a line on your regular invoice. Screenshot and check packs count for the UTC calendar month and are prorated in the month you book them; domains, subscribers, monitors and jobs are there in full right away.
How do I book fewer add-ons?
Reduce the number of packs on the add-ons page. The reduction applies from the next billing period (with a yearly subscription: from the end of the contract year), and you can take it back until then. The running period stays as you paid for it, so there is no refund and nothing disappears early. If you are over a lower limit afterwards, nothing is deleted; only adding more is blocked until you are back under it.
What happens to add-ons when I cancel or a payment is declined?
Packs end with the subscription. If a card is declined for a change, the change stays pending and is not unlocked; you can pay the invoice on Stripe’s page, also with another card. Your subscription keeps running meanwhile, and a declined add-on payment does not start grace mode.
Can I buy add-ons on pay as you go?
Not as packs. On pay as you go, checks, check-ins and screenshots are metered anyway, extra subscribers are charged per day, and a custom domain costs €2 per month, counted per day from your credit. The starting credit shows the add-ons page read-only. Packs are available with Team and Agency.
Are these prices net or gross?
Net. VAT is added at checkout where it applies; EU businesses with a valid VAT ID use the reverse-charge procedure as usual.
Is there a contract or a minimum term?
Monthly plans have no minimum term and can be cancelled to the end of the billing month. Yearly plans run for 12 months and can be cancelled to the end of that term; after that they continue at the monthly price and can be cancelled monthly. Either way, your usage budget still resets every calendar month. Pay as you go has no subscription; its €3 monthly minimum continues while the PAYG account remains enabled, even in a low-usage month.
What if I need more than 500 monitors?
Agency includes 500 monitors. Monitor packs add 50 monitors for €4, up to 20 packs, so Agency can reach 1,500 on its own; the check budget has to fit the fleet, and check packs raise it. The starting credit covers up to 50 monitors, but pay as you go has no monitor cap of its own once you have topped up. For a very large fleet or a migration, talk to us first so capacity and pricing can be agreed explicitly.
